I don't know how I managed to ignore UJH's earlier works for so many years. I had bought her 8th album, a disappointment since her music style had changed, and I knew she'd produced different kind of music previously. Even having heard her called "the mother of Korean dance pop" wasn't enough. Then finally, YouTube led to the discovery. It was just a coincidence that back in 2002, I found Kim Hyun Jung instead of UJH. Don't worry, KHJ remains my favourite but UJH's quickly making her way towards the top positions as well. Must get all of her works.

#1 Suzupyn Ilki

An okay ballad but not the way I'd have begun the album.

#2 Cross 10

So reminiscent of Escape that it still bothers me somewhat. On the album, the title is actually written in hankyl as Khyrosy but I think I might just as well use Latin here as they're English words in the first place. The same goes for Sykhalles.

#3 Molla

One of the two songs I knew from before.

#4 Hanylman Hôrakhan Sarang

'A love that only heaven allowed'? Rather boring apart from the title.

#5 Sumyn Kyrim Zhazki 10

The happy songs might, a bit surprisingly, be my two favourites on this album. This is one thing UJH did better than KHJ has. On the other hand, this style is very close to Koyote, which is no wonder, considering that Jongmin used to be UHJ's dancer before becoming Koyote's male lead.

#6 Samzatêmjôn 8

I hadn't given any four stars but this one deserves one. There.

#7 Zhotê 8

This is another 4-star candidate. I knew this was one of her biggest hits but didn't like it so much until I saw the classy video where they clap something each time the corresponding sounds come up. Somehow that made the song open up for me.

#8 Poison 10

Is this her best traditional song? Might be. I haven't figured out the logic how they decide which English words to write in hankyl. What would this have been? "Phoisôn"?

#9 Pêpayi Zangmi 10

Or is it this? The title means 'The rose of betrayal'. Dramatic, huh? So is the video with UHJ jumping from a skyscraper and finally becoming a rose herself. It's so sad the video isn't included on her DVD but instead, there's one of the strangest live performances I've ever seen.
I just love the wobbly bass sound in the chorus.

#10 Nôl Morylkke 6

Sounds a bit like a Christmas song.

#11 Scarlet

Reminds me of Baek Ji Young with its slight Latin feel.

#12 Festival 10

Yee! This is so good. The song is great, the choreography is great and the video is great as well. The DVD was already worth buying because of this alone, not least for getting to see Jongmin and friends' topless dance :P The strange middle part is almost my favourite part. Too bad the house section isn't included in this version but only in the live performance.

#13 Rimokholkwa Menikhjuô 7

"Rimokhol" apparently means 'remote control' but what does it have to do with manicure? The song itself is mainly Zhotê, take 2.
