My alphabetical reviewing is proceeding quite nicely. Pretty soon I'll get to C already. It's been many years since this album that Bubbles haven't done much but just yesterday, I saw their new video. It was a bit horrifying. The joyoys girl band we'd come to love had transformed into a Beyoncé clone and her backing group. Let's hope the change won't be permanent.
#1 T.K.O. 8½
This version sounds rather different from the one they performed at MF. Better, even.
#2 In the Name of Love 9
Might be my favourite track. Some Motown feeling, anticipating the Supremes cover at #13.
#3 A Little Bit of This 8
It's interesting to have the title of an album of yours feature prominently on the next one, especially as it didn't appear anywhere on the previous one. The song itself is rather annoying.
#4 Do You Wanna Dance 8
Ugh, not r'n'b already.
#5 Don't Stop 7
I can't have heard this album more than once or twice because there are so many surprises. And not many pleasant ones so far. This is useless, please do stop.
#6 Hit the Floor 7½
This album seems to have fillers in abundance - and it's not floorfillers.
#7 Free 7
At least it has to be said they have a variety of genres. Too bad none of them are very good.
#8 Can't Take My Eyes off You 7
iTunes claims this is called "Can't Take My Eyes *of* You". Unfortunately, that's a typo because it would've been interesting to try to figure out what "my eyes of you" would mean. Fortunately however, I can take my ears off this song.
#9 Teenager Loving 8
"Teenager loving hurts like a knife"? Ouch.
#10 Here We Come 7½
Rather basic but a bit strange.
#11 Roll Me Over 7
And even more plain it gets.
#12 T.K.O. (Radio Version) 8
This is the original MF version.
#13 (Baby Baby) Where Did Our Love Go 9
Begins with a very familiar riff that we've come to know from places like Ace of Base's Always Have, Always Will, Bikini's Autograph and, of course, UFOPOLI's Way to Cow!. I don't remember the Supremes original but it's possible this is where it all started.
#14 In the Name of Love (Karaoke)
#15 Do You Wanna Dance (Karaoke)
#16 A Little Bit of This (Karaoke)
Again, instumental versions don't belong on albums.
