I seem to be in for a Da Buzz theme day today with all of their albums queueing to be reviewed. I'm not complaining, they are, after all, my favourite active band of the moment, since Steps split.

#1 Let Me Love You 10

This is Da Buzz as we know it, in its most primordial form. Simple, cheerful, energetic. Just the way I want it. The lyrics don't mean anything, like they never do in their music, but who cares?

#2 Do You Want Me 10

Where it all began. Many a time had I watched this video on MTV's Nordic Top 5 without sound and wondered, what an annoying new band they must be. When I at last happened to turn "da sound" on, I was amazed by what I heard. The value of this is further augmented by the fact there have been times in my life when I've been well able to relate to the "message" of the song.

#3 Give You All My Love

One of the weakest tracks on the album, what is this doing in this position? "Weakest" in this context, however, isn't saying much.

#4 Your Love Will Shine on Me

The third version of LMLY/DYWM, though slightly weaker and with even sillier lyrics. What is it that each song in majors has a modulation but none in minors does?

#5 Paradise

Another less-favourite of mine, quite AoB, with influences especially from Never Gonna Say I'm Sorry and Don't Turn Around.

#6 Tell Me Once Again 9

Sound-wise very close to Ira Losco's One Step Away, as well as Jessica Folcker's Tell Me What You Like.

#7 Believe in Love 9

One more adaptation of the biggest hits, I believe this having been the third single. Not the best choice for that, clearly.

#8 Love And Devotion

At some point I thought this was my favourite track but I guess it's not that good after all. One of the top ones, anyway. This would've made a good third single, being different from the first two. I just love the dog-like cheerleading on the background.

#9 I Wanna Be Free 8

The tracks in minors are the weaker ones on this album, like this.

#10 I'm Allright 8

Once more a title that speaks of the song itself. It indeed is allright. Somehow there's an air of some quite recent ESC entry. Esther Hart's One More Night, maybe? Or is this even closer to Tanel Padar & Dave Benton's Everybody?

#11 Out of Words 8

Speaking of suitable titles... "Out of words / Got nothing better to say / Baby love you baby baby" How well put, indeed! If this is irony, it's very good, and adds a touch of humour to the whole album.
