After what must be at least half a year without any new reviews, it's time to, yes, to use one of my favourite expressions, to break the hiatus. We'll see if this'll turn out as another up-season of reviewing...

#1 More More More 7

I remember my first reaction to this in the record shop where I was listening to this CD for the first time, as my custom of the time used to be - and I wasn't too impressed. I still think this would've made a better ending than a beginning.

#2 Love at First Sight 9

In retrospect, this was probably quite a clever third single, even though I would've chosen differently myself. And the video has a nice technical impression.

#3 Can't Get You Out of My Head 8

Hadn't this been such a huge hit, I wouldn't have advocated its release as the first single at all. However, I guess I've grown to understand this to some extent. It's powerful allright.

#4 Fever 8

At this point at the record store, I still wasn't convinced I should buy this. Actually, my conviction only arrived after the brilliant streak of tracks X-X but I'll get into that when the time comes. The title track is a bit (astral) plain (jane) but still quite groovy.

#5 Give It to Me 8

Good basic material. I especially like the incremental lyrics in the chorus.

#6 Fragile 7

Much like Butterfly on Light Years. Maybe even a little better. At least it kinda fits the title.

#7 Come into My World 7

Why was this the fourth single? There would've been at least five better candidates left. Well, the video was fun with all the cumulative Kylies. Has the same style as tracks 4 and 5 but it more blah.

#8 In Your Eyes 9

Now we're talking. Definitely the correct choice for the second single. Great fun to dance to, as well. Here also begins the best part of the album. I really can't understand the track order...

#9 Dancefloor 9

There, got back to you. This must be my second favourite. Very good to dance to, just like the title suggests.

#10 Love Affair

Oops, I totally lost Dancefloor while I was immersed in some random daydreaming. Must get back to it in the end. But this, this is my favourite. Somehow the lyrics appeal to me, don't know why: "I am only here for a little while / Would you like to take me out tonight? / Maybe we could talk for a little while, baby?"

#11 Your Love 9

Oh, I had completely forgotten this! This is also so good, though lighter than the other big hits on the album. The chorus has such a nice warm feeling to it.

#12 Burning Up

Tee hee, during the previous track I already started to anticipate this. Not that I'd particularly like this but it's fun. Especially the totally mad change of mood from peaceful guitaring to pouncing disco inferno. And the absurd modulating. For the fun factor I think I must award quite high a score. All in all, this album seems to have been even better than I remembered. Very level-qualitied.
