This has been queueing for a review for quite a long time already, so I guess it's time to take it in. I'm afraid this might be better than any single Kyröskooppi album, though there are more generic tracks on this. Skooppi beats her in singing any day, though.

#1 Suojelusenkeli 10

This is so sad. Definitely a staple track in the playlist of my funeral, alongside my own My Song, Lene Marlin's A Place Nearby and some others that I've forgotten. Must remember them. A problem is that it's mixed with the next track, so that listening to them separately is difficult.

#2 Kuun morsian 10

Could this be my favourite? This is so Turku. I remember playing this in my head over and over when walking down the road from the railway station to the bus station, Rautatienkatu or something along those lines. Her pronunciation is quite bad, though. "Kukkaan ei syylline nnoo [..] Kun yksi nnikkunaan..." The middle part was a lot better when I heard it "Tahtoisin myös yössä loistaa" instead of "Tahtoisin myrskytuuleen..".

#3 Sataisipa aina vaan 10

This is a definite hit. Very traditional but who cares. Almost a copy of Nusa Derenda's Ne klici me, as well as influenced by Steps' After the Love Has Gone. Remarkable also for its OGAE Song Contest success, placing third in 2002. The backing singers' between-lines in the second part A are my favourites "Sut ennenkin tuntenut oon [..] Sut kohtalo vierellein toi", they always make me want to speak like that. How that would actually be possible, though, is a mystery to me.

#4 Lähtösuudelma

I just can't get any hold of these lyrics. She's lost somewhere, sending messages, and the iron gate to her garden is getting rusty, while someone's traits have taken her feelings, and with that someone she has closed some doors of quiet rooms? Anyway, it's beautiful.

#5 Kristallia

More weird lyrics. "Kai jotain tapahtui ja petyin liikaa johonkin"? Her memory must be really bad. "Jääpuikkoni riistää halki toisten sieluja"?

#6 Sä loit mun taivaan 7

This is where the streak of more basic schlager begins.

#7 Jos aikaa siirtää saa 9

Peaceful and thoughtful (at least when it comes to the music). There are some really horrible flaws in the stressing of the words, which is more a problem of the lyrics than the singer, this time. "Tun-Teiden myrskyt saa / Rau-Hassa riehua" Ugh.

#8 Kuin varjo vierelläin 8

Somehow right now these lyrics started reminding me of the undying poetry of Hilkka Pagánus. Or what else could "Soiko tuuli vielä sielussain, sateenkaari ikuinen? / Lohdun sirpaleisiin haaveisiin sä mulle tuot / Jos auki suot portit sydämesi taivaan" be? It would be even better the way I first heard it that she was talking about splinters of the womb... "Tuulikellot soi ja pilvet kaarnalaivaa keinuttaa" Was this her Syksyn sävel entry?

#9 Kaunis on mun maailmain 7

Just generic.

#10 Saat minut uskomaan 7

These are all so similar that I guess I might me excused for mistaking them for each other...
I already thought this was Kun tulen takaisin, because she clearly said so.

#11 Tyhjäkatseinen

Now here's some attempt of actually saying something. Unfortunately, the melody is as empty as the look.

#12 Kun tulen takaisin 9

This one's fun! "Päättyikö Sannan taival eron jälkeen aameneen? / Alkoiko Satu föönaamaan paremmaksi maailmaa? [..] Muutaman lasikengän tahdon vielä sovittaa / Ehkäpä maaliin pääsen, ehkei sitä ole olemassakaan?" Total nonsensicality! [IN MONSTERLIZARDS'S TONE]: But I like it!

#13 Suudelmat sateessa

The biggest gem of the latter part of the album, a fast-paced dance tune with awfully arranged lyrics: "Nyt jää kyyneleet ka-Tuihin kiiltäviin / Muistan aamuyön, kun viimeinkin lä-Hellein tulit niin / Ja huulin lämpimin sa-Teessa suudeltiin"

#14 Ruusunlehti ja tuuli

Ballad.

#15 Viiden tähden mies 5

The title promises excitement but what it really gets is that score. In the part D there's some effort but it's soon wasted.
