Miracle
Another anticipated horror, one of those I've probably listened only once before this. But what can you expect for three euros? Of course this album has a function of reminding a certain person of a certain thing she did...
#1 S.O.A.P. Is in the Air 9
Could this be the only decent track? At least this is the only one I have any recollection of at all. The silly rap sequences and references to old hits ("This is how we party") are questionable but there's some strange "pushing power" into it.
#2 We Are the Good 6
No you are not, you are the bad. And the repetitive.
#3 Mr. DJ 9
Has some potential to it, not much of which, however, is used. Good chords but too repetitive arrangement. Apparently a grower, already got an extra whole grade with two listenings. [Score further raised by ½ 030611]
#4 One Love Only 8
Colourless but nevertheless surprisingly pleasant ballad. Should by all reason be sung by a boyband, though.
#5 Welcome to My Party 5
No thanks. Misheard title: "Welcome to My Body".
#6 Like a Stone (in the Water) 7½
Suddenly they turned into B*Witched. The real thing is better once again. Why do they have so much repetition in every single song? Misheard title: "Like a Storm in the Water".
#7 Abracadabra 8
Then an attempt to save the album with a cover. Not successful, though even S.O.A.P. can't totally ruin a decent track.
#8 Give It All You Got 6
Then some Bubbles. How come all generic artists' generic album tracks always fall into the same categories? Also somehow reminiscent of 100% te ljubam.
#9 Smile at Me 5½
As bland as it gets.
#10 Good 2 Me 6½
Some pathetic latin influences set this slightly apart from the rest, nothing else.
#11 I Wanna Go Back 10
At first this sounds all too promising for its company, and most horrendously, it is. This is clearly the best track on the album, though massively unoriginal, heard like a million times. My first association is some Asian track... Gigi Leung's G Is for Girl, perhaps? Suitable for this album on which there are cheap versions of almost everything. How on Earth did a gem (albeit a ecologically sound (recycled) one) like this end up on their album, and as the last track? Because of the title? It must be that I haven't previously had the courage to listen up to this point and that way totally missed this. However, I'm still glad it's over, I don't wanna go back, except to this one, the only one where the excess repetition isn't painful. [Score updated 030611]
