Toiseen maailmaan
Funny how all of their Finnish album were so astronomically themed (Tähtikaaren taa, Toiseen maailmaan & Maa).
#1 Intro
#2 Toiseen maailmaan 9
Not bad, though the chorus is a bit of a let-down. I always expect something aggressive in minors, like in Sator's Senga (Uzbekistan from World Song Festival 2002, so no wonder if it doesn't ring a bell), but it's dreamy in majors instead.
#3 Nti Groove 10
Oh Miss Moo, how we love you. One of the best Finnish wrong-hearing songs there is. Why haven't I put this onto any of the famous Dance Cow compilations?
#4 Ensisuudelma 8½
Now that I've got some more perspective, this album seems more of a logical follow-up to the first one than it used to. This is one of those Alex tracks with inserted foreign words, French this time.
#5 Opettelen salaa 8
One thing that's definitely changed from the first album are the arrangements that now sound less plastic. There's also less power.
#6 Keltainen 9
The first sound is so attached to our evergreenish assembly back in high school. But which one was it? The one with Haluan vessaan!, Ö-Mappi and Ugly Girl? Probably the other one, with Kypso and... and what? Something from Savage Garden? I so don't remember.
#7 Jos tahdot aikaa 7
"Jos tahdot aikaa, jos tahdot matkaa", then you probably need one of them, speed and the formula speed = distance/time. Musically quite hollow, reminiscent of their old silly plastic creations but worse.
#8 Teimme tarinaa 7½
These unintelligible titles (to say nothing about the other parts of the lyrics...) were really an Aikakone trademark.
#9 Kristallipallo 6½
I guess I must've only listened to this post-Keltainen part of the album only maybe once or twice because I have next to no memories of these tracks... that are getting weaker and weaker...
#10 Aarresaari 9
Then a quick rescue with classic style.
#11 Maapallon tie 5½
Going down.
#12 Kuutamotanssi 7
This with a dance remix could be pretty good but the way it is now, it's quite sleep-inducing.
