Classical writing

Writing was my first even half-serious form of producing "art", into which I really got back in 1997. On a Finnish course we had to write short stories. I hadn't written any before that but somehow, quite out of the blue, I came up with my first story called Toinen ("The Other"). After that, I got so enthusiastic about writing that until the course was over, I had written five stories. Thence I continued the same way and soon I started planning my first collection called Oudot ("The Odd Ones"), which, however, most probably will never be finished, even though I have more than a hundred stories.

Traditionally, there are different styles in my writing, ranging from parody to philosophy, from poetic to banal and from naïve to dystopic. The old stories weren't usually very long, 1-2 pages was quite a normal length. Typical traits included the exclusion of clear characters, personification and indirect narration. The people (as far as they were people) rarely had names or physical characteristics. Instead, their images were mainly based on their thoughts.
