Literature
The first even half-serious form of producing "art" was writing, into which I really got back in 1997. On a Finnish course we had to write short stories. I hadn't written any before that but somehow, quite out of the blue, I came up with my first story called Toinen [The Other]. After that I got so enthusiastic about writing that until the course was over, I had written five stories. From then I continued the same way and soon I started planning my first collection called Oudot [The Odd Ones], which still hasn't been finished. Nowadays I have about 100 stories but in the last three years my writing hasn't been very active because composing has taken up most of my creative capacity.
There are different styles in my writing, ranging from parody to philosophy, from poetic to banal and from naïve to depressed. My stories aren't usually very long. About 1-2 pages is quite a normal length. Traits that are typical to most of my production include the exclusion of clear characters, for example through personification or indirect narration. My people (as far as they are people) rarely have names or physical characteristics. Instead, their images are mainly based on their thoughts.
Despite being distinctively less active in writing during the last years than I used to be, I've managed to complete a few new works as well. In 2003, I participated in the Nova contest with two very different texts that characterise my two main genres, humorous fantasy and verbal paintings. Since then, I've been working on and off on several ambitious projects in which I'm finally trying to write as much for the others as for myself. Only if I wasn't so overly critical... In any case, here are my most recent works.

Here are a few samples of my early writing (1997-2000). Most of the time I write in Finnish but occasionally I use other languages as well.
